In the European Union, e-signatures based on a qualified certificate are provided by certified trust service providers under the conditions set out in the eIDAS Regulation.

Qualified electronic signature certificates can contain a statement regarding the transaction limit, up to which the certificate is considered qualified. The transaction limit of the e-signature certificate can be easily checked in the electronically signed document.

Open the document in a PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click the Signature panel, click Signature Details, and then click Certificate Details.

Select the e-signature you want to verify in the left column, then scroll down to the QC statements (Qualified Certificates) in the Details column! Here you can view the transaction limit for an electronic signature.
