When using our services – QuickSign, DirectSign, and BusinessSign –, you need to select the type of electronic signature to apply on the document before sending the document for signing. In the case of QuickSign, the signature type selecting menu appears after uploading the PDF document, whereas in the case of DirectSign and BusinessSign the menu appears when opening the document editor surface. In the case of multiple signatories, the ones included in the signature chain are allowed to sign the given document only with the selected signature type. Once the signature chain is initiated, the signature type cannot be modified.
When can you send a document for signing with a certain signature type?
QuickSign → if a certain signature type is available in the user’s Business account
DirectSign → if the user sending the document for signing is also addressed as a signatory, there needs to be at least one signature available of the given signature type in the user’s Business account. The document can be sent for signing without any further restrictions.
BusinessSign → if there are at least as many signatures available of the given signature type in the user’s Business account as many users are selected as signatories in the user’s own Business account.
When can you sign the received document with the given signature type?
QuickSign → if you have at least 1 available piece of signature from the selected signature type and you have a certificate corresponding to the signature type.
DirectSign → if there is at least one signature available of the given signature type in the Business account of the addressed user, and the signers have a certificate corresponding to the signature type.
BusinessSign → if there are at least as many signatures available of the given signature type in the Business account of the addressed user as many users are assigned to the document as signatories, and the signers have a certificate corresponding to the signature type.
